Dear St. Andrew’s Community,
I want to thank everyone for five amazing years serving as the Parish Administrator here at St. Andrew's. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen health issues this the past year, I find it a good and necessary time to retire. It is with deep sadness that I bid farewell to you all. Mother Michelle and I mutually agreed upon a retirement date of September 30th.
It has been such a pleasure working on staff at St. Andrew’s and a truly rewarding experience. I have never thought of my position as a job, but more as a ministry. I have gotten to know many of you through the years and just wish I had gotten to know everyone of you on a personal level. I treasure the times that I was able to visit with some of you in your homes, and feel blessed by my many phone conversations during the pandemic. I’m a people person – and such interactions were special and a true joy!
From my vantage as the Parish Administrator, I have gotten to witness St. Andrew’s grow to be an intentionally welcoming parish; deeply spiritual, always generous and unquestionably supportive of one another. I have seen how important family and friends are to each of you and that is one of the values that is so meaningful to me!
Mother Michelle has been an awesome support to us as staff and I cannot imagine not coming to the office every week. I feel fortunate to have worked alongside a great staff - - with Eva Janda (Business Administrator) and Christoffer Woodard (Minister of Music). It has been a true friendship with all of us and that is something rare and precious and it makes leaving all the harder.
Thank you for allowing me to serve in ministry alongside you. May God continue to richly bless you and your families and may St. Andrew’s continue to be the welcoming church that so many other churches desire to be.
With a grateful heart,
Pamela Olivero
