"VIRTUAL RED BAG" UPDATE...
We are making a difference in helping to provide food to those in need in our community who are struggling to put food on their table. Instead of distributing red bags at the church door, we are inviting you to consider offering the monies you would typically spend on items to fill your Red Bag - - by make a financial donation instead. You can use the QR (scan) Code to the right...and choose red bag when prompted. Or mail a check to the church office. Checks should be made payable to St. Andrew's with: "Red Bag Ministry" in the MEMO line. All funds will be given to support the St. James Food Pantry. |

HABITAT "APOSTLES' BUILD" 2021
St. Andrews Outreach Committee has reconfirmed our participation in the Apostles Build project for the 2021 Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity (HfH) home build program. John Lovo, St. Andrew's outreach project coordinator for this ministry, shares "Volunteers' sign-up is on-going and reflects enthusiastic interest." A current sign-up sheet is available in the church narthex (entry to church).
If you have already signed on with John (john.lovo@gmail.com) (cell: 571-213-5159), you will receive regular updates and information, particularly regarding unique HfH pandemic safety provisions that will be applicable for the 2021 work site directly from him. Otherwise, check the parish website.
St. Andrews' work date is Saturday, January 9th when we will again be installing the exterior plywood wall sheathing which our volunteers have become very proficient at completing in one-day's effort. This year's home site will be in the vicinity of King's Highway and I-75 just this side (north) of the Peace River near a home we built several years ago. The future resident selected by the HfH board will be a single father employed as a marine mechanic and his 3 year old son. More timely information to follow in the weeks ahead as it becomes available from HfH.
