"To bring God and people together through the love of Jesus Christ
Grief Group beginning January 20
If you are grieving the loss of someone you love, you are not alone.
This group is a supportive and confidential gathering for those who have experienced the death of a loved one. Led by caring facilitators, the group offers a safe and welcoming space where participants can listen, reflect, and share alongside others who understand how difficult grief can be. You are invited to come as you are—there is no pressure to speak, only an opportunity to be supported as you move through grief. All are welcome.
The group will meet Tuesdays, January 20 through March 24, from 4:00–5:30 PM, in the Fellowship Hall of the Methodist Lighthouse Church. All are welcome.
To register or ask for additional information, please email djohnson@bglighthouseumc.com. You may also call 941-964-2479 (church office). All communication will be confidential.
[This session of the Grief Group is being hosted by the Methodist Lighthouse Church
in collaboration with St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.]

Ministry, Education & Fellowship
At St. Andrew’s, we live out our faith through a vibrant mix of ministries and fellowship. Our Outreach Ministry serves the wider community with compassion and purpose, while Pastoral Care offers support and presence during life’s challenges. Through Worship Ministry, we come together in prayer, music, and sacrament. We deepen our understanding of Scripture and spirituality through Bible Studies and our Faith and ... lecture series, which invite thoughtful reflection and discussion. Fellowship is central to our parish life—from community breakfasts to Dinners for 8, where deeper connections are made around the table. All are welcome to grow, serve, and belong.
Life's Sacred Moments
Holy Baptism
Holy Baptism is the rite by which we are initiated into the Body of Christ, and it marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith. At St. Andrew’s, Baptism is celebrated as part of our regular worship, allowing the entire congregation to participate in welcoming the newly baptized and committing to support them in their Christian formation.
Holy Matrimony
In the Episcopal Church, marriage is celebrated within the context of the Church’s life of prayer, worship, and witness; the rubrics of the Book of Common Prayer and the Canons of the Church set the foundational norms for the solemnization of Holy Matrimony.
Funeral Planning and Pastoral Care
The death of a loved one is a time of deep sorrow, and we here to walk with you through it. Our church community offer compassionate pastoral care and support. The Burial Liturgy is a service of hope, rooted in the promise of resurrection through Jesus Christ. Please contact the church as soon as possible so a clergy member can assist you.
A Time of Transition
St. Andrew’s has entered a time of transition —a season marked by prayer, reflection, and discernment.
Our Search Committee has been faithfully and thoughtfully engaging in the process of calling our next Rector. The chart to the right highlights the stage we are currently in. Beginning September 8th, we are accepting applications. Please see out Rector Search page by clicking on either of the links at the top of this page.
We ask for your continued prayers for the Committee and for God’s guiding presence throughout this journey.
