"let us remember in His name the poor and the helpless, hungry and the homeless;
the lonely and the unloved; the abused, the exploited, the hated, and the oppressed;
the sick and all that mourn; the aged and the little children"
Adopted from a Bidding Prayer
St. Andrews donates 10% of its budget to organizations that help to fulfill this mission.
The Outreach Committee seeks to assist members of the parish in answering the call of Christ to love our neighbors as ourselves. St Andrew’s supports evangelistic and social action projects, primarily local, but also, to a lesser degree regional, and global levels. The committee decides how to allocate and coordinate our gifts. We also try to have hands-on volunteers help with worthy causes.
We have monthly meetings November thru April. The following are the programs with which we have been involved, given financial donations, and personally provided volunteer help in 2024-2025:
- Red Bag Ministry
- Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity & Apostles Build
- Seminary Assistance
- Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Englewood
- Dayspring Summer Camp
- Senior Fellowship Center
- Englewood Community Clinic
- SOLVE
- CARE
We always welcome new members and/or ideas. For more information please contact Joan Farrar, chair of committee.
